NSA head coach Kevin Allen was pleased with his team’s response to a loss to Bishop Sullivan Catholic the previous Friday, but still feels there is more to work on despite the win.

Virginia Episcopal’s first score came on a 74-yard pass and a “blown coverage” said Allen.

“I can’t say it was the best-played game, but we showed up and we executed more like we need to,” said Allen.

“We still have to work on playing a full four quarters,” said Allen, who said working on coverage in the secondary will be a big part of practice this week.

NSA’s rushing attack took care of things Saturday though. Allen credited his tailback, Crenshaw, with “a tremendous game.”

Crenshaw and Lennon are, “continuing to grow as leaders, and both really stepped up,” said Allen.

“Through last week, we made sure our practices were on a higher scale, so it was good to get the win and hopefully we feel this is the way we have to play every game,” said Allen.

There’s still plenty to do though to see a complete game says Allen. “We haven’t reached that point yet, but hopefully we’re peaking at the right time and can continue it into the playoffs,” said Allen.
