Suffolk Living just days away

In late October, Suffolk Publications, the parent company of the Suffolk News-Herald, announced the launch of Suffolk Living, a quarterly, full-color magazine aimed at spotlighting the “people, places and things that make Suffolk such a wonderful place.”
After weeks of work, the premiere edition is just a few days away.
“It has been a project that has involved everyone in our operation and a project that we are all extremely excited about,” editor Tim Reeves said. “The first publication would not have been possible without tremendous support from area business and community leaders who jumped on board to make sure this was a success.”
The magazine will be free to area residents at more than 200 pick-up points around Suffolk, including the Suffolk News-Herald office at 130 S. Saratoga Street in downtown Suffolk. A list of participating locations will be published in Sunday’s edition of the News-Herald.
For those who live outside of the area and still want to make sure they receive a copy of “Suffolk’s magazine” — or for those who just would like to have it delivered to their mailboxes — the company has established a subscription process.
For $16 per year, you can arrange to have the magazine mailed to your home, or to the home of a loved one.
“We have already had a number of people from outside of the Suffolk, those who have probably moved away, who have already signed up,” Reeves said. “The response has been tremendous. It really is a great way to ensure you get a copy of each magazine.
We even have people who have purchased subscriptions as Christmas gifts already.”
The first edition is set to hit area locations on or before Tuesday, Dec. 1 and features a significant distribution area.
“Our goal is to really cover Suffolk and the surrounding areas,” Reeves said. “If you don’t see a copy where there should be one, let us know. We want to make sure that everyone who wants a copy can get a copy.”
