Peace on Earth — without distinctions

To the editor:
As we head into the month of December, it is my and every Christian’s wish that everyone will have a “Merry Christmas” as we celebrate the holy day of Jesus Christ’s birth.
But I am not offended by those who choose to make a holiday of the “winter season,” nor by those who celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or nothing at all.
As we all share space on this planet, let us show kindness and tolerance for each other’s differences.
Readers should not presume that letters to the editor like this one, written by Christians, are the views of people who are not aware of or sensitive to the beliefs — or unbelief — of others. We write about what we know, and we would love to share.
My hope is for love, joy, and peace to all, in whom and wherever you may find it.
