Somewhere between the Whopper and the milkshake, things went wrong.

A Virginia Beach woman was arrested Wednesday on charges of assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor following a confrontation at the Burger King on N. Main Street, Suffolk spokesperson Debbie George said on Thursday.

According to court records, Andrea Pease, 25, of Strickland Boulevard in Virginia Beach was released on bail on Thursday.

George said police reports indicate that Pease arrived at the Burger King during the afternoon to find her baby’s father in the restaurant, having lunch with another woman.

According to police, Pease entered the restaurant, approached the other woman and began to assault her. The two women wound up on the floor and had to be physically separated, George said. Police were called during the scuffle.

Pease and the man exited the store to talk, George said, and the man noticed that Pease had left her vehicle running, with the doors unlocked and the 5-month-old baby inside, when she entered the restaurant.

Pease faces a Dec. 14 arraignment on the misdemeanor assault charge.
