Bomb threat indictments delivered

A woman accused of calling in several bomb threats against Suffolk schools was indicted by a grand jury this week.

Remonia Yvonne Hines, 48, was indicted on four counts of threatening to bomb Suffolk buildings. She was accused of making bomb threats against Nansemond River High School and a Walgreens on Bridge Road, in addition to several threats against a Chesapeake business.

In the first incident at Nansemond River, staff at Florence Bowser Elementary School received a phoned-in bomb threat for Nansemond River High School shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25. Students, faculty and staff were allowed back into the building by 11:15 a.m.

Excluding several sealed indictments, a total of 22 defendants were indicted on a total of 48 charges this week:

Jonquil Lamont Baker — participate in criminal act, malicious wounding

Jontreil Lamar Baker — participate in criminal act, unlawful wounding, malicious wounding

Justin Cody Beale — statutory burglary of building, grand larceny

Sol Damacus Burke — possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

Ralph Cordell Gallegos — shoot, stab, cut or wound, malicious wounding

Quinton Lorenzo Harrell — malicious bodily injury, abduction, attempted robbery

Derrick Marcel Hawkins — forcible sodomy of victim under age 13 (3 counts), sexual penetration with object of victim under 13, aggravated sexual battery of victim under 13, rape of victim under 13

Gary Wood Hedgepeth — third offense larceny

Remonia Yvonne Hines — threaten to bomb or burn (4 counts)

James Demetrius Holland — third offense larceny

Jovan Donte Hyman — forgery, uttering, obtaining money or property by false pretense

Lamont Vonrein Johnson — threaten to bomb or burn (3 counts)

Bubble Antwon Jones — statutory burglary – larceny – felony – unarmed

Aaron Duane Madison — possess cocaine

Samuel T. Norfleet — participate in criminal act, malicious wounding

Terrance Jerome Parker — distribute ½ ounce to five pounds of marijuana (2 counts), distribute imitation drug (2 counts)

Jonathan Thomas Pratt — driving while intoxicated third offense within five years

Amber Michelle Rieken — child neglect/abuse reckless disregard

Jason Eric Scott — credit card fraud, credit card theft

Nathaniel L. Thurman — distribute schedule I or II drug, second or subsequent offense

Lateisha P. Whitfield — embezzlement felony

Aaron Lorenzo Wright — unlawful wounding, malicious wounding, participate in criminal act
