HAMPTON — Travis Wall will be looking to extend his current hot streak Saturday as Arena Racing Hampton Roads returns to action at the Hampton Coliseum.

Saturday’s race lineup includes A, B and C Mains — 50 laps each. The evening’s grand finale, the 50-lap Top Dog race, features the top six finishers from the A Main and the top four finishers from the B and C Mains.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the pre-race pit party — an excellent opportunity to meet the drivers and get an up-close look at the cars. The evening’s racing program kicks off at 7. Drivers will also be available to meet fans on the concourse at the conclusion of the Top Dog feature.

Tickets are $10 for adults. When purchased at the Coliseum box office, each regularly-priced adult ticket also includes one free kids (3-12) ticket. Additional kids tickets are $5. Military personnel (with ID), senior citizens (65+, with ID) and students (13-18) receive a $2 discount off the adult ticket price. Tiny race fans (under 3) are admitted free. Tickets are available at the Coliseum box office, Ticketmaster locations and online at ticketmaster.com. A service fee will be added to each ticket purchase.

While the season’s first four events produced a host of different winners (13 in 16 races), the Nov. 28 program featured three repeat winners — Wall, who swept the A Main and Top Dog features, B Main winner Patrick Morgan and C Main winner Michael Weddell.

Wall’s big night, capped by a razor-thin Top Dog victory over Scott Prillaman, allowed him to vault from fifth to third in the current points rundown. He trails second-place Adam Florian, the defending series champ, by just three points and is only 12 behind Prillaman, the leader.

Looking for something a little different for your group’s next outing? Something a little “in-your-face”? Something a little extreme? Arena Racing Hampton Roads can fill the bill with group ticket packages for birthday parties, church and youth groups, school organizations, civic and social clubs, etc.

Following this Saturday’s program, Arena Racing Hampton Roads begins its holiday hiatus. The series charges into the 2010 portion of its campaign on Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Hampton Coliseum.
