Capping Lakeland’s first ever trip to the VHSL (Virginia High School League) Group AAA State Field Hockey Tournament, and a 20-3 overall record, four Lady Cavaliers were voted to the Group AAA All State Team.

Lakeland senior Morgan McCaw, who’s accepted a scholarship offer to play field hockey for Longwood next year, was one of the top four defenders in the state. Nansemond River senior Stephanie Tarafas was the second-team goalkeeper. Tarafas has committed to a scholarship from James Madison.
