At about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 23, emergency dispatchers received a call of shots fired in the 5600 block of Plummer Boulevard, according to city spokeswoman Debbie George. The victim, John Craig, 26, had been shot twice in the face.

After failing to find help at homes on Plummer Boulevard, Craig drove himself to his girlfriend’s house in the 4600 block of Maplewood Drive, striking a tree on Plummer Boulevard when leaving. He was later taken by ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was recovering late last week.

Anyone who has information on Thomas’ whereabouts is asked to call Suffolk Police at 923-2350, or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and they may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
