In observance of the New Year’s holiday, Suffolk city offices will be closed both today and Friday. Normal operations will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

All Suffolk libraries, along with the city’s four major parks, the visitor center and the Suffolk Museum, also will be closed for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The libraries will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday. The museum will reopen at 10 a.m. on Monday. The visitor center will reopen Saturday at 9 a.m. All four parks will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Those residents in areas with Friday trash collection will have their trash picked up on Saturday.
