Ricky Lee Lawson, 44, died Jan. 3, 2010, at his home.
Born in Suffolk, he was the son of the late Charley Lee Lawson and Marjorie G. Lawson. He was employed as a bleach technician.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Jordan Lawson; daughters, Stephanie Ann Pelham-Wesley of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Billie Joe Headrick of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Sheila L. Hoefling, and a brother, Charles W. Lawson, both of Suffolk; grandchildren, Samantha Lee Phillips, Jessica Lynn Headrick, Byron Joseph Headrick, Dashia Olivia Hall and Janiel Mariah Hall; his stepmother, Patty Lawson Murphy; his stepfather, Billy Murphy; and nieces and nephew, Stephanie Lawson, Carley Lawson, Courtney Lawson, Julie Hoefling, Joseph Hoefling.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. Walter H. Ihlefield III. The family will receive friends at 221 E. Constance Road, Suffolk. Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.
