NEWPORT NEWS — Shivabhai Bhikabhai Patel passed away on Jan. 16, 2010. He was a native of Gujarat, India, and had been a resident of Suffolk. He was employed by Red Barn Food Store for 11 years and was of the Hindu faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chanchalben and Bhikakhai Patel; one sister, Urmilaben Patel; and two brothers, Ravjibhai and Purshottambhai Patel.
Survivors include his wife, Jyotsnaben Patel; three sons, Kavyesh Patel, Ajay Patel and Axay Patel; sister, Sudhaban Patel; brother, Babubhai Patel; grandchildren, Sakhi, Gokul, Dev, Gopi, Siya and Kishan Patel; nieces and nephews, Jasmini, Avantika, Pramod, Praful, Shashikant, Jaysheree, Ramila, Sanjay, Jigesha, Jaymisha, Diksesh, Manish and Nisha Patel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Peninsula Funeral Home, Newport News.
