Suffolk police have charged a 16-year-old girl in connection with the armed robbery of a Chesapeake man Tuesday night at a home in the 800 block of Milford Lane.

The girl has been charged with inviting a 24-year-old man whom she had met on the social media Web site Facebook to meet her in Suffolk so that she and the others could rob him, according to police reports.

The man came to Suffolk at about 7:30 p.m. to meet the teen, with whom he had been chatting via Facebook for several weeks, according to Suffolk spokesperson Debbie George.

When he arrived at the home, he was approached by three males armed with firearms. They took his wallet, his cell phone and tools from his vehicle, George stated in a press release.

Police identified the girl and took her into custody at her home in Windsor. She has been charged with armed robbery and is being held at the Tidewater Detention Home.

Police have identified two of the robbery suspects and are asking for the public’s help in locating them. Bruce Dignard Jr., 18, of the 9300 block of Cutthrou in Windsor, and Bradley S. Sordelet, 25, of Coffman Boulevard in Chesapeake, are both wanted for armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit robbery. The third male suspect has not been identified, according to George.
