Monday, officials with Isle of Wight County Public Schools announced that March 15 would be a make-up day for classes missed during recent snowstorms.

Isle of Wight, along with school systems across Hampton Roads and Tidewater, were forced to close schools over a number of days due to poor road conditions after significant amounts of snow and ice accumulated.

Suffolk Public Schools will have make-up days on Feb. 15 and March 12. Feb. 15 is Presidents’ Day, and March 12 was to have been a staff development day. The next three days missed will be made up on the Saturday immediately after the day missed.
