Suffolk police are searching for a man accused of mugging a woman at the College Drive Wal-Mart on Monday afternoon.

About 2 p.m. Monday, a white male in his 30s with a beard approaching a woman who was loading groceries into her car in the parking lot of the store. Though he did not display a weapon, he took her purse and fled in a black or blue SUV or Chevrolet Tahoe, Suffolk spokeswoman Debbie George said. The vehicle had 23-inch tires, after-factory rims and a lift kit installed, she said.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
