Alice Maxine McCrary, 92, of 311 West Highway 158, Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, May 7, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. McCrary is survived by her son, James E. “Jimmy” McCrary and wife Bonnie of Suffolk; son-in-law Donald L. “Donnie” Burgess, husband of her late daughter, Nancy M. Burgess, of Durham, N.C.; two grandsons, Keith McCrary of Suffolk and Alan McCrary and wife, Jenni, of Carrsville; and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Hannah McCrary.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Smith United Methodist Church with the Rev. Curtis Mull officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends May 11, 2010, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
