Police seek leads on theft

Suffolk Police are asking for assistance in identifying a subject involved in a theft from a vehicle and use of a credit card stolen during that theft.

According to police, a laptop computer, GPS and wallet containing credit cards were stolen from a vehicle in the 3900 block of Breezeport Way on May 7 or 8.

When the owner of the property notified his charge card company of the larceny, he was advised that a transaction and attempted transactions were made at a Walmart in Virginia Beach.

Investigators were able to obtain video and stills of a suspect using the stolen card. He is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, wearing a tan shirt, dark pants and glasses. Police believe the subject was possibly operating a silver Chevrolet with a sun roof. No further description is available on the vehicle.
