Suspended driving nets 10th arrest

COURTLAND — A Suffolk man is facing charges for allegedly driving without, or on a suspended license for the 10th time.

Heath Eugene Boone was arrested May 24 after a Virginia State Trooper pulled him over in Southampton County for unapproved tinted windows. According to court documents, Boone told the officer his license was suspended.

According to the state courts website, Boone’s violations for driving without a license and on a suspended license date back to 2004 in Suffolk.

Boone’s ninth offense occurred in May 2009 in Suffolk. He was ordered to spend 10 days in jail and pay a fine of $50, and his license was suspended for an additional 90 days.

Boone is scheduled to appear in Southampton County General District Court for the newest charge on June 8.
