Katherine Lewis Wilkins, 85 of the 4100 block of Cole Avenu, Suffolk departed this life on Thursday morning, July 1, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Virginia Beach, VA and the daughter of the late Willie Lewis and Sallie Perry Lewis.
She retired after 35 years of service with Stanley Home Products, Inc. as Division Sales Manager.
She’s survived by her husband of 63 years, Willie O. Wilkins, Sr.; one daughter, Rita W. Wilson (Zacchaeus) of Suffolk; one son, Willie O. Wilkins, Jr. (Elaine) of Suffolk; one sister, Hilda Johnson of Florida; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in New Hope Baptist Church, 4260 Pughsville Road, Suffolk, officiated by Pastor Dr. William E. Russell. Interment will be in Albert G.
