Clarender “Nick” Roberts, 95, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. She was a native of Sussex County, Va., and the daughter of the late Mammie Brown.
She retired as a domestic worker. She was a member of New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries and a former member of its Usher Board I and II, Mother Board and the Willing Worker’s Club.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four grandchildren; goddaughter, Jean Knight; devoted friends of New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries officiated by Pastor Viola Parker. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. Family and friends will assemble at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
