Lester, Meeker celebrate first anniversary

Casey Lester and Greg Meeker married on Sept. 19, 2009 at the Hilton Garden Inn at the beach in Kitty Hawk, N.C.
A dinner and dance at the Pier House on the ocean followed the 5 p.m. ceremony.

Casey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lester. She is a graduate of Riverside School of Radiologic Technology and currently is working at Sentara Obici Hospital as a radiology technician.
Greg is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meeker. He is a graduate of Smithfield High School and employed at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Suffolk.
The bride was escorted by her father, Willie Lester, down a rose petal-covered aisle with violin and cello music playing in the background.
The maid of honor was Erica Jackson. The bridesmaids were Taylor Zuraw, Amber Fluhr and Elizabeth Brooks. MacKenzie Jackson, Lilly Grace Jackson and Amanda Garlock served as flower girls.
Frank Meeker, the groom’s father, served as best man. Groomsmen were Elliott Williams, Scott Marios and Johnny Latimer.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner, attended by the bridal party and immediate family, at The Sugar Creek restaurant in Nags Head, N.C.
The couple honeymooned in Waikiki, Hawaii, and now reside in Smithfield, Va.
