Gladys E. Saunders departed this earthly life on Oct. 6, 2010.
Her survivors include her two children, Cynthia Howell (Jeffrey), of Suffolk, and Anthony P. Saunders, of Chesapeake, and a host of other relatives.

A funeral of triumph will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.
Harris Funeral Home, Carolina Road has been entrusted with the home going service.
