Three Suffolk men arrested in connection with Southampton homicide

Three Suffolk men have been arrested in connection with a homicide in Southampton County.

The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darrin L. Robinson, 20, of the 500 block of Kilby Avenue; Bruce L. Boone, 18, of the 100 block of Tynes Street; and Dayquan Eley, 18, of the 1000 block of David Boulevard. Each was charged with first-degree murder, according to a press release by Capt. G.H. Drewery of the Southampton Sheriff’s Office.

The homicide occurred late Thursday in the 31000 block of Darden Street, the press release stated. Patrol units heard shots fired at 11:37 p.m. that night. Upon arriving at the scene, they found Darrin Lee, 28, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Lee was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

An autopsy is being performed by the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Norfolk, the press release said. The investigation continues.
