Police seek driver who caused crash

Suffolk police are seeking assistance finding the driver of a silver Mercedes who caused a motorcycle crash on Bennetts Pasture Road on Tuesday.

According to police, a motorcycle was traveling on Bennetts Pasture Road about 11:10 a.m. when a silver Mercedes failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Lee Farm Lane. The Mercedes proceeded onto Bennetts Pasture Road, into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver crashed in the roadway and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Video cameras at a nearby business captured the incident.

Police are looking for the vehicle, which they believe to be a 2000 or 2001 Mercedes with tinted windows.
