Dollie L. Person, 95, of 215 N. Capital St., Suffolk, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Junius Ford Sr. and Annie Askew Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Person Sr.

She retired as a domestic worker. She was a former member of Tabernacle Christian Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Floyd Person Jr. (Gladys), of Suffolk; one brother, Joseph Ford (Lillian), of Phoenix, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
