Jeanette Jacobs Wiggins

Jeanette Jacobs Wiggins, 74, peacefully passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. She was born on the 16th day of July in 1936 in the small town of Bolton, N.C. to the late George and Minnie Jacobs.
Mother Jeanette, as she was affectionately known, began her journey of formal learning at Bolton Elementary School, Bolton, N.C., and matriculated to Amour High School in Riegelwood, N.C. She was a devoted member of New Gospel Church.
She united in holy matrimony to the late Elder Thomas A. Wiggins and to this union six children were born.
Mother Jeanette leaves to carry on her memories her children, Brian Wiggins, Superintendent Thomas Wiggins Jr., Elder George Wiggins (LaNita), Margaret Goodman (Rodney), Marion Riddick (Quinton), James Darrell Wiggins; two sisters, Alberta Toney and Sullar Marshall (James); one brother, Alton Jacobs (Gloria); two brothers-in-law, Bishop William P. Wiggins (Lula) and Joseph Wiggins; two sisters-in-law, Ardell Wiggins and Rena Jacobs; 10 grandchildren; three additional daughters, Mrs. Paulette Windett (Carlton), Tracey Goodman and Audrey Toney; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ms. Wiggins will be on view at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, Feb. 4 from noon to 7 p.m., and the family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. A celebration tribute service honoring Mother Wiggins will take place at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries at noon Saturday, Feb. 5, and she will be laid to rest in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
