Pothole repairs continue

With last week’s wet weather, the city’s planned pothole-repairing blitz hasn’t gone as planned.

However, it still intends to continue filling potholes as soon as weather allows, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

“The rain hampered efforts, but did not stop them altogether,” she said. “We will continue to work the blitz as weather allows until all the holes are filled.”

Repairs hold up best when it’s warm and dry, so wet weather slows down crews working to repair the potholes.

Residents can nominate potholes for repair by calling, emailing or filling out a form on the city website. Citizens can report potholes by: calling 514-7600; emailing PWcontact@suffolkva.us; or using the link on the front page of the city’s website, www.suffolkva.us.
