Gary Richard Fitzgerald, 59, of Suffolk, Va., passed away April 4, 2011. He was born in Newport News, Va., the son of the late Hyacinth Moore Fitzgerald and Richard Joseph Fitzgerald. Gary worked as a cabinetmaker and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the ManPower Hunt Club.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Sarah E. Fitzgerald; son, Jonathan W. Fitzgerald; their mother, Susan J. Jones, all of Suffolk, Va.; grandchild, Devin Fitzgerald; sister, Joey F. Carter, of Buena Vista, Va.; brothers, David J. Fitzgerald, of Suffolk, and Tracy M. Fitzgerald, of Newport News, Va.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Thursday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, Va.
