Tickets are on sale now for the 2011 Suffolk State of the City event.

The annual forum will be held April 26 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn and Suffolk Conference Center, 100 E. Constance Road. The event features a speech from Mayor Linda T. Johnson, who usually takes the opportunity to highlight business development initiatives, address challenges and opportunities and honor some of the people who make the city great.

“I submit to you the current state of our city is strong,” Johnson said during last year’s State of the City address. “It’s clear to see that in Suffolk, we didn’t simply weather the storm. Since we couldn’t change the wind, we adjusted our sails.”

The event is produced in all five South Hampton Roads cities by the Chamber of Commerce.

Table sponsorships are available for businesses, and includes one reserved table for 10 and recognition in the event program. Individual tickets are $45 for members and $65 for non-members.
