Ruth H. Mason, 83, of 1211 Blythewood Lane, Suffolk, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County, Va., and the daughter of the late Charlie Hayes and Lillian Carr Hayes.

She was a member of the Church of Apostolic Faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Edna Lewis (Kelley), of Suffolk; one son, Earl Haskins; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, June 20, 2011, at Bethlehem Christian Church officiated by Pastor Emanuel Myrick Jr. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
