Helen E. Morris, 69, of 1558 Airport Road, Suffolk, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Corapeake, N.C., and the daughter of the late Grover T. Eure Sr. and Sarah Goodman Eure. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert L. Morris.

She was a homemaker and musician. She was a member of Zion Tabernacle Church and its choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Benita Morris Resto, of Richmond, Va., Dr. Aldena Morris Francisco-Harris (Rodney), of Maple Heights, Ohio, and Cheryl Morris Nkeba (Imar), of Davidsonville, Md.; two sisters, the Rev. Ella Eure-Eaton (William), of New York, and Sarah L. Morris, of Philadelphia, Pa.; three brothers, Grover T. Eure Jr. (Selena), of Portsmouth, Va., Dr. Herman E. Eure (Kelli), of High Point, N.C., and Marquis A. Eure (Kiwinia), of Cornelius, N.C.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, Corapeake, N.C., officiated by the Rev. William S. Norman Jr. Interment will be in Balm of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, White Marsh Road in Suffolk. A viewing will be Friday, July 15, 2011, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
