One of the highly recognizable “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” buses journeys to Suffolk while it is traveling the East Coast to visit the Featherlite Coaches factory for repairs. It spent time at the factory for the second time recently after its first stay took place in February when it arrived before a show taping in Virginia Beach.

You might have seen the famous “Move that bus!” motorcoach from “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” making its way around Suffolk lately, but it wasn’t roaming the area to help make over a home — it was getting some TLC of its own.

The bus is brought to Suffolk every once in a while to get checked out at the Featherlite Coaches factory on Obici Industrial Boulevard.

Featherlite marketing manager Shannon Woodward said the bus was at the factory for a couple of days recently for general maintenance repairs.

She said the bus stops at the factory for repairs when it is traveling the East Coast, and this is the second time the factory has worked on it.

The last time the bus was in Suffolk was in February, when the factory completed general repairs on the bus before it was used in the taping of a show filmed in Virginia Beach.

The show has leased the Featherlite Vantare motorhome. It is one of several the production has used during taping, from Nashville-based Diamond Coach Leasing for the past six seasons of the show, Woodward said.
