To the editor:

I spotted a young bear yesterday in the cornfield at the intersection of Bennetts Creek Road and Driver Lane.

It ran out of the field towards the road, seemed a little scared by the traffic, and then ran back into the cornfield.

Nature is truly in our backyard!
