Pink is in season at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts this week.

The Pink Passion Breast Cancer Support Group and the Louise Obici Hospital Auxiliary will host the Pink Passion Fashion Show Friday at 5 p.m. at the center.

Tickets are $20, and all the proceeds from the event will be donated to the group’s efforts to help breast cancer patients.

In addition to the fashion show, the event will feature appetizers, a cash bar, a raffle, a silent auction, live entertainment and the judging of the Steppin’ Up Shoe Art Contest.

The shoe contest invited the public to put their best foot forward and decorate a pair of women’s shoes.

Since the beginning of September, the group has received dozens of entries of decked-out shoes with a variety of themes, including breast cancer awareness, a flower garden and Halloween.

The shoes will be on display and judged at the fashion show. The winner of the shoe contest will receive a cash prize.

The Pink Passion group also plans to auction the adorned footwear if the contestants give permission to do so.

The event will also feature a gently used-handbag auction that was coordinated by the hospital’s auxiliary.

The fashion show will start at 6:30 p.m. and feature breast cancer survivors wearing fashions from Denison’s.
