Suffolk police are seeking the unknown individuals who set playground equipment at Wilson Pines Apartments on fire Wednesday evening.

Residents noticed about 9:30 p.m. that a plastic portion of a slide tower was on fire, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. Nobody has reported seeing the individuals who set the fire.

George said the plastic part was not completely destroyed but will have to be repaired.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
