Two gunshot victims were found in Newport News after a Saturday night shooting in North Suffolk.
Police were summoned just before midnight to the Governor’s Point Clubhouse when an unknown caller to police dispatch said there were two shooting victims there.
Responding officers reported that the clubhouse was crowded and had several hundred people inside, with standing room only, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
One victim was located at a fire station on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News with a gunshot wound to the leg, George said. The second was found at Riverside Hospital in Newport News.
Both suffered injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening, George said.
