Emmett Thomas Umphlett Jr., 73, of Suffolk, Va., passed away on Nov. 26, 2011.

A funeral service with Moose rites will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Charles Worth and the Rev. Jim George officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
