James Lee “Jimbo” Warren, 62, of Orbit, Va., a well-respected utility contractor in the Tidewater area for more than 40 years, died peacefully at home on Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2011. He was born on Feb. 4, 1949, in Richmond, Va., and grew up in Hampton, attending Hampton High. “Jimbo” spent many years around the Chuckatuck community acting as a volunteer firefighter and was an Elks Lodge No. 685 member in Suffolk. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Harriette Warren, and his brother, John.

“Jimbo” is survived by his wife, Barbara Draffin Warren, of Windsor; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Warren and Hampton Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, James Andrew and Kathy Warren, all of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren: Alexander and William Rodman and Grayson and Harper Warren; brother, Francis “Dusty” Warren; two sisters-in-law: Kathy Draffin and Janie Walters; three nieces: Elizabeth Bracey, Jerimie Harrell and Micki Walters; and one nephew, John Walters.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating.
