To the editor:

Gov. Bob McDonnell, our No-Tax governor, is planning to remove much more money from our pockets and call it a toll, not a tax.

He will give this money to a private company, the Elizabeth River Crossing Company, which is guaranteed a profit for 54 years. If the tolls do not provide this company with enough profit, we taxpayers will then give them more of our tax money to make sure they make a profit for 54 years.

Gov. McDonnell should repeal this contract now. The public cannot afford this bad deal. Taxes or tolls, we Tidewater citizens will lose.
