PORTSMOUTH – Joseph H. Baysmore, 47, passed away April 27, 2012.

He was born March 10, 1965, in Suffolk, Va., to James A Baysmore Sr. and Lillie Baysmore.

Joseph grew up in the Whaleyville/Suffolk, Va., area.

He attended Robertson Elementary School and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, Suffolk, Va.

Joseph was a high school and college football player. He belonged to St. Mary’s United Church of Christ, Whaleyville, and First Baptist South Hill, Chesapeake, Va.
