Strong thunderstorm moving over city

The National Weather Service has issued a warning for a strong thunderstorm moving over the city.
The thunderstorm passed over Whaleyville about 9:13 p.m. and was expected to be near Lummis at 9;25, Nurney at 9:35, Saunders at 9:40, Suffolk Airport at 9:45, downtown at 9:50 and Magnolia at 10:05.
Small hail, frequent lightning and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour are expected in the path of the storm. Authorities warn to move into a safe shelter before the storm reaches your area. Remain indoors until the storms have passed.
Heavy downpours may cause ponding of water on roadways and localized flooding in low-lying areas, according to the weather service.
