Mrs. Juanita Gloria Chapman, 69, of 215 Hunter St., Suffolk, died July 24, 2012, at her residence. A native of Nansemond County, she was daughter of the late Christine Walker and Nathaniel Walker.

She was a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She attended East Suffolk High School.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Chapman Sr., of Asbury Park, N.J.; daughters, Gloria Watkins (Keefe), Yolanda Williams (Leonard) and Lynnell Chapman, all of Suffolk; sons, Andrew Walker (Pauline), Timothy Chapman (Saranette), Kelvin Chapman (Diane), Tyrone Chapman (Elmira), Roy Chapman (Denise), all of Suffolk, Gilbert Chapman, of California, Thomas Chapman Jr. (Cheryl), of Smithfield, and Roy Kelly; sisters, Rosa Johnson, Judy Wiggins and Mearl Boone (Robert), all of Suffolk, Va.; brothers, Nathaniel Walker (Linda), James Cowling and Christopher Darden (Caniesha); devoted friends, Pamela McCray and Sam Parker; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; aunts, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church, 6533 Everets Road, Suffolk, by Pastor Bernard Thomas.
