Among the events Lake Prince Woods plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year is an art show featuring residents’ works of art.

Ruth Fleak’s entry in the Lake Prince Woods Art Show includes two framed photographs she took on a recent trip to Estonia. The show includes works in several different mediums.

The show will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Portsmouth Center on the LPW campus. It is open to the public.

“We’ve had a very wide variety of entries,” Resident Services Director Denise Brown said. “Many of the residents continue to actively pursue their artistic endeavors, while others will be exhibiting works they’ve done in previous years.”

Among the types of handwork to be exhibited will be needlepoint, crochet, counted cross stitch, quilts and hooked rugs. Photography, bird carvings and wood jewelry also will be shown.
