Evina Bland, 84, of 8528 Orcutt Ave., Hampton, Va., died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Autumn Care of Suffolk. She was a native of Gates, N.C., and the daughter of the late Lizanne Woolfrey Riddick and Charlie Riddick.

She retired as a domestic worker and a member of First Baptist Church, Mahan Street.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Herman Bland, of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Virginia Stephens, of Franklin, Va.; one brother, Walter Riddick, of Portsmouth, Va.; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Steven Blunt. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
