Lakeland boys fall to Grizzlies

Grassfield High School defeated the Lakeland High School boys volleyball team Thursday in three straight sets. 25-19, 25-17 and 25-19.

Lakeland’s Colby Bennett had two blocks and four kills. Kyler sparks had one block and four kills. Brandon Nordan had nine assists.

 

Grassfield beats KFHS boys, girls

On Tuesday, the King’s Fork High School boys volleyball team lost in straight sets to the Grassfield High School Grizzlies in straight sets 7-25, 21-25 and 16-25.

The Bulldogs’ girls volleyball team lost to Grassfield the same night in three straight sets, 25-14, 25-15 and 25-17.

Brenna Ginn had four kills, four blocks, and two aces. Taylor Beale had 10 digs.

 

Bruins take four sets to beat KFHS

The Western Branch High School Bruins beat King’s Fork High School’s boys volleyball team Thursday in four sets, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 25-19.

However, it was a match of evenly matched teams. The Bulldogs were led by A.J. Jenkins with 15 kills and Cal Bailey with 10 assists.

The Bruins’ coach commented after the match that they were frustrated by the Bulldogs’ digging almost everything hit at them.
