Benjamin Colbert, 62, of 1009 Carolina St., Hampton, died Dec. 22, 2012, at his residence.

He was a native of Isle of Wight County and the son of the late Benjamin Colbert Sr. and Elizabeth Blow. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Newport News, where he served on the usher board.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Colbert; three daughters, Patricia Dunbar, Felicia V. Vaughan and Desiree Colbert, all of Norfolk; four brothers, James Colbert and Ronnie Blow, of Windsor, Alexander Blow, of Portsmouth, and Nathaniel Blow, of Wakefield; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church, Windsor, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 1 p.m., by the Rev. Dr. Beverly Ashbern. His remains will be taken to the church by 11 a.m. the day of the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wyatt and Sons Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling the arrangements.
