Willie Lee Whitaker, 61, of 37465 General Mahone Blvd., Ivor, Va., left his earthly abode on March 5, 2013. He is predeceased by his mother, Mary Lee Whitaker.

He leaves to mourn a loving and caring wife and mother, Sandra “Dee” Whitaker; a son, Dallas Lamont Whitaker; a daughter, Tameka Jenkins (Corris), of Williamston, N.C.; grandchildren, Ariana Jenkins and Corris Jenkins IV; a goddaughter, Ashley Clark, of Waverly, Va.; a godson, Jayanti Elam, of Franklin, Va.; three sisters, Janie Ralph, Estelle Whitaker, both of Suffolk, and Dorothy Boone, of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Jerry Whitaker (Phebe), of Suffolk, James Watson and Eugene Watson of Sunbury, N.C.; other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at New Branch Baptist Church, 8140 Proctors Bridge Road, Ivor, Va. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
