Southern Bank has announced the association of Linda G. Doland as senior vice president/commercial lender in Suffolk.

A native of Newport News, Doland attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She received her credit risk certification from the Risk Management Association. She has been in the banking industry for 37 years.

She is the current president and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Chesapeake Rotary Club and has served with the organization for the past 14 years in various capacities. She has been an active volunteer with both the United Way and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the Peninsula Leadership Institute through the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and LEAD Hampton Roads through the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.

She currently resides in Suffolk with her husband, Michael. She has two children, Laura Doland Crocker and Andrea Doland, and one grandchild, Nathaniel Crocker.
