Suffolk police are investigating the reported aggravated sexual assault of a woman that took place on Tuesday morning.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said the adult woman reported she had been assaulted about 6 a.m. at Joyner Park on Holladay Street.

The investigation is ongoing, Klink said. She declined to provide any other information about the incident, except to say there seems to be no connection to last week’s abduction and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl from Carrollton.

Klink said she did not have a description of the assailant.
