The Lakeland High School boys’ volleyball team fell at home, 3-1, to Denbigh High School.

For the Cavaliers, Nolan Knight contributed 10 kills, Irvin Ashburn had 13 blocks and Ryan Stalnaker added 12 assists and four blocks.

Lakeland hosted cross-town rivals Nansemond River High School in a conference match-up on Thursday evening.
