Arthur Bradshaw, owner of the Suffolk franchise of Home Video Studio, Inc., will hold an “open casting call” for “The Great American Home Movie,” a film that is being produced and directed by Robert Hanley, the founder and CEO of the company.
A vital component of movie will be interviews of select Americans who lived in this time, and the casting call in Suffolk will give local residents a chance to be a part of it all. Filmmakers will be looking for potential interview subjects Oct. 20, during an event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 5921 Harbour View Blvd.
“We are especially interested in people who took home movies and/or 35mm slides, or were the subject of those movies and pictures,” Bradshaw stated in the release. “If you remember Mom and Dad getting out the movie camera (or you were Mom and Dad) then we want to hear from you.”
Filming will begin in 2014, with a movie release set for 2015, the release stated. There is no compensation for the interviewees.
